The Autódromo José Carlos Pace, better known as Interlagos, is one of Formula 1's great historic venues. Built on the hills in the south of São Paulo, this challenging 4.309-kilometre circuit features dramatic elevation changes, fast sections and the famous Senna S at Turns 1 and 2. The circuit's compact, bowl-like layout helps create an incredible atmosphere, with passionate Brazilian fans providing the famous carnival-like backdrop. Interlagos has been part of Formula 1 history since 1973 and has produced countless memorable races over the decades.
And with the Sprint returning to São Paulo in 2027, there will be even more on-track action to enjoy. The Sprint itself is a short, approximately 100-kilometre race, adding another competitive session to an already action-packed Grand Prix weekend.
