Devonshire Delights in Summer OFFER

Day 1 – South Yorkshire to Torquay

Depart South Yorkshire in the morning, travelling south-west through the Midlands and into the West Country, with suitable comfort stops en route.

Lunch Stop en route in Tewkesbury

In the afternoon the journey continues into Devon, arriving in Torquay during the late afternoon.

After check-in there will be time to settle into your rooms before dinner.

Day 2 – Dartmouth & Totnes

Following breakfast, enjoy a scenic excursion through the South Devon countryside to the delightful riverside town of Dartmouth.

Set on the banks of the River Dart, Dartmouth is one of Devon’s most attractive coastal towns, with a picturesque waterfront, colourful buildings and a relaxed maritime atmosphere.
There will be free time to explore the town, browse the shops or simply sit and enjoy the harbour views.

Optional River Cruise (extra)

Passengers may choose to join an optional circular cruise on the beautiful River Dart. The cruise offers wonderful scenery, passing wooded riverbanks, waterside villages and elegant houses, all from the comfort of the boat.

After free time for lunch, the excursion continues to the historic market town of Totnes.

Totnes is known for its charming High Street, interesting independent shops and historic character. The town centre is compact and ideal for a relaxed afternoon visit, with plenty of cafés and riverside seating areas.

Return to Torquay during the late afternoon.

Day 3 – Free Day in Torquay

Today is free to relax and enjoy Torquay at your own pace.

The resort offers an attractive palm-lined promenade, pleasant harbour area and a wide choice of cafés, shops and seaside attractions. Guests may wish to:

• Take a gentle stroll along the seafront

• Visit the harbour and marina

• Enjoy coffee overlooking the bay

• Explore the town centre shops

• Relax in the hotel lounge or spa facilities

For those not wishing to venture far, the Headland Hotel provides comfortable lounges and excellent sea views.

Optional Evening Excursion – Babbacombe Theatre (Extra)

This evening there is the opportunity to attend a show at the famous Babbacombe Theatre.

One of the most popular entertainment venues on the English Riviera, the theatre is well known for its variety productions featuring music, comedy and live performances.
Coach transfers can be arranged for the short journey to and from the theatre.

Day 4 – Dawlish & Teignmouth

After breakfast, travel along the beautiful South Devon coast to the traditional seaside resort of Dawlish.

Famous for its black swans and attractive seafront gardens, Dawlish remains one of Devon’s most charming coastal towns. The largely level town centre makes it particularly suitable for a relaxed visit.
There will be time to enjoy:

• The seafront promenade

• Riverside and garden walks

• Shops and cafés

• Traditional seaside atmosphere

Later continue to nearby Teignmouth, a classic Devon resort with an attractive promenade, Victorian pier and lovely coastal views.

There will be free time for lunch, sightseeing or perhaps an afternoon cream tea overlooking the sea before returning to Torquay.

• Farewell dinner at the hotel

• Final evening entertainment

Day 5 – Return to South Yorkshire

After breakfast, say farewell to Devon and begin the journey back to South Yorkshire.

A suitable stop will be made en route for lunch and refreshments, giving time to relax before continuing northwards.

Arrive back in South Yorkshire at approximately tea-time, bringing to an end a relaxing and enjoyable holiday on the English Riviera.
